As part of India’s ongoing global outreach initiative under Operation Sindoor, former Indian envoy Harsh Vardhan Shringla highlighted the delegation’s impactful engagements in Bahrain, where representatives from multiple political parties spoke in unison on the issue of cross-border terrorism, particularly emanating from Pakistan.

Speaking to ANI, Shringla shared details of the delegation’s interactions during the first leg of the tour in Bahrain, noting that the meetings were both “comprehensive and interactive.” He said, “Earlier today, the delegation met representatives from the Indian community in Bahrain. It was a very fruitful discussion, widely appreciated by the diaspora.”

Shringla emphasized the unity within the diverse all-party group, stating, “The delegation comprises members from different ideological backgrounds and regions, but here they are speaking in one voice — on behalf of 1.4 billion Indians. That unity made a strong impression on the Indian community.”

He further noted that the delegation provided concrete examples of the impact of Pakistan-backed terrorism on India and reiterated the shift in India’s approach, referencing the “new normal” established by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in confronting the threat with resolve and clarity.

The delegation also held productive sessions with Bahraini leaders, including members of parliament, academics, intellectuals, business leaders, and Indian expatriates. These discussions focused on India’s long-standing battle with cross-border terrorism and its strategic response in the aftermath of recent attacks, including the April 22 terror strike in Pahalgam.

The all-party delegation is led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda and includes MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma (NJP), Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM), Satnam Singh Sandhu, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and former Ambassador Harsh Vardhan Shringla.

The group’s mission is to inform and engage global stakeholders across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Algeria — countering misinformation, affirming India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism, and fostering international cooperation in confronting extremist threats.
