U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran, urging the country to return to the global order or face worsening consequences. His comments followed what he described as a successful military strike that “obliterated” three of Iran’s nuclear sites.

Posting on Truth Social, Trump criticized Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for claiming victory over Israel in the recent conflict. “His country was decimated, his three evil nuclear sites were obliterated,” Trump wrote. “I knew exactly where he was sheltered… and I saved him from a very ugly and ignominious death.”

The former president claimed that during the final stages of the conflict, he intervened to halt a massive Israeli airstrike targeting Tehran. “It was going to be the biggest attack of the war, by far,” Trump said, noting that he persuaded Israel to recall a large formation of fighter jets poised for a devastating assault on the Iranian capital.

Trump revealed that he had been working toward potential sanction relief to assist Iran’s recovery. However, he said that efforts were abandoned after Iran responded with what he described as “anger, hatred, and disgust.” He warned, “Iran has to get back into the world order flow, or things will only get worse for them.”

In a press briefing earlier that day, Trump reaffirmed the destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities during what is now being referred to as Operation Midnight Hammer, targeting the sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

“Their sites were obliterated,” Trump said, praising the precision of American pilots. “They hit the refrigerator door—at 52,000 feet, in complete darkness. That’s the kind of talent we have. Nobody else could’ve done it.”

He asserted that Iran had spent over a trillion dollars on its nuclear program but now faced the complete destruction of its infrastructure. “They never got it together,” Trump added, claiming that the destroyed nuclear facilities were reinforced with concrete that was also destroyed in the strike.

The president expressed doubt that Iran would attempt to revive its nuclear ambitions any time soon. “Time will tell,” he said, “but I don’t believe they’re going back into nuclear anytime soon.”

Trump’s remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and renewed scrutiny of Iran’s nuclear ambitions following the high-profile military operation.
