US President Donald Trump has reaffirmed the strength of American national security, citing recent military actions against the Houthis in Yemen as evidence of the country’s robust defense strategy.

“Our national security is stronger than it has ever been. We have had very successful and numerous attacks on that area (Yemen),” Trump stated in an interview at the White House, underscoring the effectiveness of the strikes.

Describing the Houthis as a serious security threat, Trump highlighted their attacks on maritime and aerial targets. “These are the people that shoot down ships right out of the water. They also happen to be shooting anything that is flying through the area,” he said.

He further asserted that Houthi forces are now in retreat, with many of their key figures eliminated. “The Houthis are on the run; the worst ones have been killed. This should have been done a long time ago,” he added. Trump also condemned their tactics, stating, “They randomly shoot missiles on ships, and they make their own missiles.”

Dismissing concerns over potential leaks of classified information, Trump assured that no sensitive details had been compromised. “There was no classified information, as I understand. They used an app that a lot of people in the government and the media use,” he explained.

Trump also launched a scathing attack on The Atlantic, dismissing its credibility. “The Atlantic is a failed magazine, and nobody gives a damn about it,” he declared.

National Security Advisor Mike Waltz echoed Trump’s sentiments, criticizing media misinformation and reaffirming confidence in the administration’s security policies. “There are a lot of journalists in the city who have made big names for themselves, making up lies about this President,” Waltz remarked.

He also credited Trump’s leadership for strengthening global security, contrasting it with the previous administration. “The world owes President Trump a favour. Under Biden, global shipping was shut down,” he claimed. Waltz further emphasized the administration’s coordinated efforts, stating, “We have a National Security team that was coordinating these efforts.”

As tensions persist in Yemen, the Trump administration remains firm in its stance, asserting that decisive action has reinforced national and global security.
