Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian community in the United Kingdom for the enthusiastic and emotional reception during his ongoing visit, describing their affection as “truly heartening.”

In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi wrote, “Touched by the warm welcome from the Indian community in the UK. Their affection and passion towards India’s progress is truly heartening.”

The Indian diaspora gathered in large numbers to greet the Prime Minister in London, turning his arrival into a celebratory moment. Many described their brief encounters with Modi as surreal and deeply emotional.

Shreya Pareek, who traveled especially to meet the Prime Minister, praised his leadership and recent achievements. “I want to congratulate him for Operation Sindoor and all the amazing things he’s doing for India.”

PM Modi is currently on a two-day visit to the UK, the first leg of his two-nation diplomatic tour. His visit is expected to boost bilateral relations, with a Free Trade Agreement on the agenda and meetings scheduled with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles III.
