Russian President Vladimir Putin’s bodyguards reportedly carried a special “poop suitcase” during last week’s Alaska summit with US President Donald Trump, according to a report by The Express US.

The unusual measure was allegedly designed to prevent foreign intelligence services from analyzing Putin’s biological samples and drawing conclusions about his health. Citing investigative journalists Regis Gente and Mikhail Rubin in Paris Match, the report said members of Russia’s Federal Protection Service (FPS) are tasked with collecting and sealing the President’s excreta in designated containers, which are then transported back to Russia.

Such practices, the report noted, date back several years. During Putin’s 2017 visit to France and subsequent trips abroad, including Vienna, similar precautions were observed, with reports suggesting the Russian leader even used portable toilets to avoid leaving any trace.

Journalist Farida Rustamova further claimed the practice has been in place since Putin first assumed leadership in 1999.

The claims resurface amid persistent speculation about the 72-year-old president’s health. In recent years, observers have pointed to footage of Putin displaying leg tremors and body twitches, sparking rumors of possible neurological conditions. The Kremlin has repeatedly dismissed such speculation, most recently in 2022 when it denied rumors that Putin had soiled himself after a fall.

Despite the Kremlin’s firm denials, international media continues to highlight reports that Moscow goes to extraordinary lengths to shield any details of Putin’s medical state from foreign scrutiny.
