The 10th edition of the Raisina Dialogue, India’s flagship conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, will begin today in New Delhi. Co-hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), the three-day event will take place from March 17 to March 19.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the conference, with New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon as the chief guest delivering the keynote address.
According to ORF, the Raisina Dialogue brings together global leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss pressing international challenges. This year’s event will see participation from nearly 3,700 attendees, including over 800 speakers and delegates from around 130 countries. Among them are current and former heads of state, ministers, diplomats, military leaders, business executives, and thought leaders.
The theme for this year’s dialogue is “Kalachakra: People, Peace, Planet,” with discussions structured around six key pillars:
- Politics Interrupted: Shifting Sands and Rising Tides
- Resolving the Green Trilemma: Who, Where and How
- Digital Planet: Agents, Agencies, and Absences
- Militant Mercantilism: Trade, Supply Chains, and the Exchange Rate Addiction
- The Tiger’s Tale: Rewriting Development with a New Pen
- Investing in Peace: Drivers, Institutions, and Leadership
Additionally, the Raisina Ideas Pod, in partnership with Firstpost, will feature ministerial sessions and discussions on critical global issues, including Europe’s role in the Indo-Pacific and the African Union’s place within the G20.
As the dialogue unfolds, all eyes will be on the insights and strategic discussions that shape global policy directions in the coming years.
