PM Modi Meets King Charles III at Sandringham, Invites Him for State Visit to India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met King Charles III at the Sandringham Estate, the UK monarch’s summer residence, during his official visit to the United Kingdom.

PM Modi expressed his delight at the King’s improved health and return to royal duties. The leaders held wide-ranging discussions on global health, sustainable living, and the promotion of traditional wellness systems like Ayurveda and Yoga. Both underscored the importance of spreading their benefits worldwide.

The Prime Minister extended an invitation to King Charles III to visit India on a State Visit. He also expressed appreciation for the King’s warm hospitality.

Their conversation included the strengthening of bilateral ties, with a special emphasis on the anticipated signing of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), expected to inject fresh momentum into the strategic partnership.

PM Modi briefed King Charles III on India’s advancements in renewable energy and its commitment to sustainable development. They also exchanged ideas on collaborating to tackle climate change and promote their shared vision of environmental responsibility.

The two leaders further explored opportunities for deeper cooperation within the Commonwealth framework.

In a symbolic gesture, PM Modi thanked King Charles III for supporting the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, gifting him a sapling to be planted at Sandringham during the autumn planting season.
