New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon to Visit India, Set to Be Chief Guest at Raisina Dialogue Edition 10

Later today, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will meet with the New Zealand PM, and Luxon will also pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by laying a wreath at Raj Ghat.

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon is set to arrive in New Delhi today for an official visit, where he will be the chief guest at the inaugural session of the 10th edition of the Raisina Dialogue. Luxon will deliver the keynote address at the event, according to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes ministers, senior officials, business leaders, media representatives, and members of the Indian diaspora in New Zealand, Luxon’s visit will see several important engagements. Later today, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will meet with the New Zealand PM, and Luxon will also pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by laying a wreath at Raj Ghat.

Luxon will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House on Monday, where they will witness the exchange of key MoUs. Later, he is scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. On Tuesday, Luxon will hold discussions with Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda.

During his visit, Luxon will also travel to Mumbai, where he will meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan. The Prime Minister will depart India on March 20.

The Raisina Dialogue, which will take place from March 17-19, is India’s premier event focusing on geopolitics and geo-economics. This year’s theme, “Kalachakra – People, Peace and Planet,” will feature prominent global leaders from around 125 countries, including ministers, former heads of state, military commanders, and experts in various fields. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially inaugurate the event on March 17.
