Mild Earthquake of Magnitude 3.0 Strikes Tibet; No Reports of Damage Yet

A mild earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale struck Tibet in the early hours of Tuesday, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

The tremor was recorded at 3:25 AM Indian Standard Time (IST) at a shallow depth of 10 kilometres beneath the surface.

Sharing details on X, the NCS stated: “EQ of M: 3.0, On: 05/08/2025 03:25:24 IST, Lat: 28.07 N, Long: 88.06 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Tibet.”

There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties. Further updates are awaited.
