Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav arrived in Madrid on Wednesday, leading a high-level delegation as part of his official visit to Spain aimed at attracting global investments and strengthening international partnerships.
Yadav was welcomed at Madrid Barajas Airport by India’s Ambassador to Spain, Dinesh K Patnaik. The Indian Embassy in Spain shared images of the Chief Minister’s arrival, stating on X, “High-level delegation led by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav arrived in Madrid, Spain today. Ambassador Dinesh K Patnaik received the delegation at the Madrid Barajas Airport.”
The visit to Spain follows Yadav’s three-day tour of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), part of his week-long overseas mission from July 13 to 19 under the “Global Dialogue 2025” initiative. The aim of the visit is to foster investment in Madhya Pradesh, encourage technology partnerships, and generate employment opportunities.
During his UAE visit, CM Yadav held strategic meetings with senior officials from DP World, Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), and major conglomerates like e& (formerly Etisalat), LuLu Group International, and the Tata Group.
A key highlight of the UAE leg was his meeting with the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi. In a post on X, Al Zeyoudi said, “The UAE enjoys productive trade and investment ties with every state in India. Today, I met Dr Mohan Yadav, CM Madhya Pradesh, to explore how we can strengthen cooperation in high-value sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing and logistics.”
Following the meeting, CM Yadav said discussions focused on investment prospects in Madhya Pradesh under the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the I2U2 initiative. He highlighted the state’s strong industrial infrastructure, supportive policies, and opportunities in sectors like textiles, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, food processing, and smart manufacturing.
The Chief Minister’s ongoing visit to Spain is expected to include similar engagements with business and government leaders to promote Madhya Pradesh as a global investment destination.
