The Indian Mission in China has reaffirmed its commitment to serving and assisting the Indian community by actively engaging in various welfare initiatives and cultural celebrations.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Mission shared updates on its recent activities, including preparations for the Gudi Padwa festival with the Marathi community in Shanghai. The festival, marking the Hindu New Year, is celebrated with enthusiasm, symbolizing the arrival of spring and prosperity.
The Consulate also highlighted its emergency consular support, particularly in assisting Indian citizen H. Ansari, who was provided relief to facilitate his return home in time for the festive season.
Additionally, the Mission shared details of Consul General Pratik Mathur’s visit to Yiwu, a major trade hub in Eastern China, where he engaged with the Indian business community and explored ways to enhance consular services.
Reiterating its commitment to supporting the Indian diaspora, the Consulate wrote:
“Building a New India! Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas. Yet another busy weekend with advance Gudi Padwa celebrations with the dynamic Maharashtrian community in Shanghai; providing emergency consular relief to Indian citizen Shri H. Ansari enabling him to return to his loved ones during the festive season; and CG @PratikMathur1’s visit to the global trade hub of Yiwu in eastern China to meet and engage with the bustling Indian community and to further improve consular services. A Country on the go, a Community on the move, and a Consulate at your doorsteps to serve and to protect. Jai Hind. Jai Bharat.”
Through its cultural initiatives, consular assistance, and community engagement, the Indian Mission in China continues to uphold its promise of being a pillar of support for the Indian diaspora.
