Before President Trump’s arrival, Tesla CEO Elon Musk addressed the audience, sharing his optimism for the nation’s future. Musk echoed Trump’s vision of a “golden age” for America, expressing confidence in the country’s path forward. “I am super fired up for the future. It is going to be very exciting. As the President said, we are going to have a golden age. It’s going to be fantastic. One of the most American values that I love is optimism. We are going to make the future good,” Musk stated.

Kash Patel, Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, also delivered a speech at the event, highlighting the importance of immigration reform and law enforcement. Patel underscored the pressing need to address rising crime and drug issues in the United States.

“Our immigration policy is the greatest policy in the world. And now that we have Donald J. Trump and JD Vance, it will become the greatest policy in the world again. But dreams and hopes aren’t enough; we have to get to work,” Patel said. He added, “In the last calendar year alone, we had 100,000 drug overdoses, over 100,000 rapes, and 17,000 homicides. That is unacceptable in 2025 in the US. That is why we need constitutional law and order.”

Patel also shared his personal story, emphasizing the importance of merit and hard work. “I am standing here because of the American dream. I am not standing here because of the color of my skin. I am standing here because I earned my right on this stage,” he said.

Earlier in the day, President Trump reviewed the troops at the US Capitol after his inauguration and signed several documents during the signing ceremony at Capitol Hill, one of the first official actions of his presidency.

During his inaugural address, Trump declared the start of a “golden age” for the United States, referring to the day as the nation’s “Liberation Day.” Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath of office to Trump, while Vice President JD Vance was sworn in earlier as the 50th Vice President of the United States.

The Inaugural Parade and the events at Capitol One Arena marked the continuation of celebrations, with Trump and his administration emphasizing a new era of optimism, security, and prosperity for the country.
