Invited by Lieutenant General (P) Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, Chief of the HAFGS, the visit is focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in operations, training, and strategic engagements between the two nations’ air forces.
According to an official release from the Hellenic Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Singh arrived in Greece on Monday, June 23. During the visit, he was briefed on the operational structure and capabilities of the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) and participated in staff-level talks aimed at deepening military collaboration.
“The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, was presented with the ceremonial Guard of Honour on arrival. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in Operations and Training,” the Indian Air Force said in a post on X. It also noted that Singh visited a Hellenic Combat Wing and took part in strategic discussions.
The Indian and Greek air forces have been steadily enhancing interoperability through joint participation in multinational exercises such as Iniochos 23, Iniochos 25, and Tarang Shakti 24, underscoring their growing defense partnership.
As part of his itinerary, Air Chief Marshal Singh, along with Lt Gen Grigoriadis, will visit the Hellenic Air Force Combat Wings and the Hellenic Air Force Academy located at Dekelia Air Base in Tatoi. These visits aim to foster knowledge sharing and expand avenues for joint training and operational synergy.
The continued engagement between the two air forces reflects a broader strategic intent to strengthen ties in defense and security, particularly in the Indo-Pacific and Mediterranean regions.
