Google CEO Sundar Pichai emphasized the “incredible opportunities” artificial intelligence (AI) offers to India, following his recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the AI Action Summit in Paris.

During the meeting, Pichai also discussed the potential for a strong partnership between Google and India, aimed at accelerating the country’s digital transformation. He expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Delighted to meet with PM Narendra Modi today while in Paris for the AI Action Summit. We discussed the incredible opportunities AI will bring to India and how we can collaborate closely to advance India’s digital future.”

Earlier that day, PM Modi addressed the India-France CEOs Forum in Paris, emphasizing its role in strengthening economic ties and fostering innovation between the two nations. He highlighted how business leaders from both countries are working together to generate new opportunities in key sectors, which he believes will drive growth and investment for future generations.

At the forum, PM Modi remarked, “This is more than just a business event—it’s a meeting of the brightest minds from India and France. You are embracing the principles of innovation, collaboration, and progress, making a real impact. Beyond just creating business ties, you are helping solidify the strategic partnership between India and France.”

He further noted the strong bond shared by India and France, emphasizing, “India and France are united not only by democratic values but by deep trust, innovation, and a shared commitment to serving our people. Our partnership extends beyond our two nations. Together, we are finding solutions to global challenges.”

PM Modi also co-chaired the AI Action Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. The summit, which wrapped up with a high-level segment attended by global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts, underscored the expanding collaboration between India and France in technology and innovation.
