Air India Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Phuket After Bomb Threat

An Air India flight (AI 379) en route from Phuket to New Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing on Friday after receiving a bomb threat, according to information released by Phuket airport authorities and cited by Reuters.

The flight, which took off from Phuket International Airport at 9:30 AM, was headed to the Indian capital when the crew was alerted about a possible security threat onboard. The aircraft was immediately diverted and safely landed back in Phuket, where security protocols were swiftly activated.

The airport, through its official Facebook page, confirmed that standard bomb threat procedures were being followed in accordance with its Airport Contingency Plan (ACP).

As of now, there is no official confirmation about the nature of the threat or any suspicious object found onboard. Further investigation is underway, and passengers are reported to be safe.
