Indian batter Shreyas Iyer has been crowned the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for March 2025, edging out New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy and Rachin Ravindra, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced.

Iyer was instrumental in India’s victorious campaign at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, held across Dubai and Pakistan, emerging as the team’s top scorer with 243 runs. His performances in the middle order were vital to India’s success, showcasing both composure and flair under pressure.

This marks back-to-back wins for India in the monthly ICC awards, with Shubman Gill having bagged the honour for February.

Reacting to the recognition, Iyer expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, “I’m truly honoured to be named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for March. This recognition is incredibly special, especially in a month where we lifted the ICC Champions Trophy — a moment I will cherish forever.” He also acknowledged the role of his teammates, coaches, and support staff in his success.

During March, Iyer scored 172 runs across three matches at an average of 57.33 and a strike rate of 77.47, playing several match-defining innings. He finished the tournament as the second-highest run-scorer, trailing only Rachin Ravindra by 20 runs.
