The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced that the remaining eight matches of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 will now be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), citing serious security concerns following an alleged targeting incident involving the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Originally scheduled to take place in Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore, the matches have been moved out of Pakistan in a bid to protect players and maintain the continuity of the tournament, PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi said in a press statement on Friday.

“I regret that our domestic audience and cricket lovers will not be able to watch these matches in Pakistan’s stadiums,” Naqvi said. He added, “The PCB has always stood by the position that politics and sports must remain separate. However, in light of India’s extremely irresponsible and dangerous act of targeting the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, which appeared aimed at disrupting the PSL, we have taken this difficult but necessary step.”

Naqvi emphasized that the safety and mental well-being of both domestic and international players were paramount, and assured that the PCB remains committed to supporting the tournament’s success, even in adversity.

The revised match dates and venues in the UAE will be announced shortly, the board said, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring a safe and competitive finish to the tournament.
