The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will announce India’s squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s Asia Cup on Tuesday, with the Senior Men’s Selection Committee meeting at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai.

A press conference will follow the meeting at 1:30 pm, attended by skipper Suryakumar Yadav and selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar.

According to sources, Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, and Tilak Varma are frontrunners for the top order, with Suryakumar Yadav likely to anchor the No. 4 spot. Test captain Shubman Gill is expected to be named vice-captain, following his impressive leadership during the recent England tour.

Middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer, along with Rinku Singh, Riyan Parag, and Washington Sundar, are also in contention. Jitesh Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal could be included as backup wicketkeeper and opener, respectively.

In the bowling unit, pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has confirmed availability and is expected to lead alongside Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, and Harshit Rana. Among spinners, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, and Ravi Bishnoi are likely picks.

The Asia Cup will take place in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from September 9 to 28, featuring eight teams: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong.

India is grouped with Pakistan, UAE, and Oman. The team will begin its campaign against the UAE on September 10, followed by the much-anticipated clash against Pakistan on September 14 in Dubai. The group stage concludes with a match against Oman on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.

The Super 4 stage will run from September 20–26, with the final set for September 28 in Dubai.
