With Mahadev’s Blessings, We Avenge Pahalgam Attack: PM Modi Hails Operation Sindoor in Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Varanasi on Saturday, hailed the success of Operation Sindoor, stating that the pledge to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack had been fulfilled with the blessings of Lord Mahadev.

Addressing a public gathering, PM Modi said, “This is my first visit to Kashi after Operation Sindoor. Twenty-six innocent civilians were killed by terrorists in Pahalgam… I had pledged to take revenge for the sindoor of my daughters. With Mahadev’s blessings, I fulfilled that promise. I dedicate the success of Operation Sindoor to Lord Mahadev.”

Operation Sindoor, conducted by Indian armed forces on May 7, was launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.

The Prime Minister also praised the Kanwar Yatra, calling it a divine spectacle, especially highlighting the participation of Yadav devotees who carry Ganga water from Gauri-Kedareshwar.

Explaining why he did not visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Modi said he refrained from offering prayers there to avoid causing inconvenience to common devotees during the Sawan month, instead offering his respects to Bholenath and Maa Ganga from afar.
