Tragedy in Madhya Pradesh: 10 Dead After Van Falls into Well in Mandsaur

In a devastating accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district, 10 people, including a local jawan, lost their lives after a van carrying 13 passengers plunged into a well on Sunday, officials confirmed.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Manoj Kumar Singh provided details about the incident, stating, “There were 13 passengers inside the vehicle. We have confirmed that 10 people lost their lives.” He further explained that nine passengers died at the scene, while a courageous jawan from the village, who was helping with the rescue operation, also succumbed during the effort. The remaining three passengers were rescued alive.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda spoke to ANI, noting that the district’s Superintendent of Police (SP), Collector, and DIG were present at the site, overseeing rescue efforts. “The locals are working tirelessly alongside officials. Children who were rushed to the hospital may survive, but for the others, the chances are very slim,” he said.
