Janata Dal United (JDU) Member of Parliament Sanjay Kumar Jha has strongly praised the Indian Armed Forces for the success of Operation Sindoor, calling the cross-border counter-terror operation “beyond imagination” and a defining moment for India’s military doctrine.
Speaking to ANI, Jha said, “As was India’s objective and what the Prime Minister had declared from Madhubani, beyond imagination work has been done. Nine terror camps in Pakistan have been demolished, hundreds of terrorists killed, and a key airbase destroyed. Our Army has shown how India responds when attacked.”
He emphasized that future terror attacks on Indian soil would be treated as acts of war, declaring, “This is the new India.”
His remarks came on the heels of a joint press conference held at the National Media Centre, where top defence officials – Lt Gen Rajeev Ghai (Director General Military Operations), Vice Admiral A N Pramod (Director General Naval Operations), and Air Marshal A K Bharti (Director General Air Operations) – officially confirmed the scale and success of Operation Sindoor.
The operation, conducted across air, land, and sea, destroyed 11 Pakistani airbases and inflicted heavy damage on the country’s military infrastructure, all while maintaining calibrated restraint to avoid civilian casualties. Over 100 terrorists were reportedly neutralized in the coordinated strikes.
Targets included known terrorist hubs in Muzaffarabad, Kotli, and Bahawalpur, as India sought to dismantle the operational infrastructure of groups responsible for attacks on Indian soil, including the recent Pahalgam terror strike.
Operation Sindoor marks a significant escalation in India’s counter-terror strategy and reflects a firmer stance against cross-border terrorism, reinforcing the country’s message that it will respond swiftly and decisively to any hostile provocation.
