On this momentous occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his best wishes to the nation, urging citizens to strengthen their efforts towards preserving the ideals of the Constitution and contributing to a prosperous India.

“Happy Republic Day. Today, we celebrate 75 glorious years of being a republic. We bow to all the great women and men who made our Constitution and ensured that our journey is rooted in democracy, dignity, and unity. May this occasion strengthen our efforts towards preserving the ideals of our Constitution and working towards a stronger and prosperous India,” PM Modi wrote in a post on X.

In New Delhi, a grand display of India’s cultural diversity, unity, equality, development, and military prowess will take place at Kartavya Path. President Droupadi Murmu will lead the celebrations, with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto attending as the Chief Guest.

In a move to encourage public participation, around 10,000 special guests from various fields have been invited to witness the parade, reflecting the government’s Jan Bhagidari initiative. These guests, including outstanding individuals and beneficiaries of government schemes, are recognized as the architects of Swarnim Bharat (Golden India).

A first-ever tri-services tableau will be a highlight of the parade, symbolizing the spirit of integration and cooperation between the armed forces. The theme ‘Shashakt aur Surakshit Bharat’ (Empowered and Secure India) will showcase a Joint Operations Room facilitating communication and coordination among the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

The parade will commence at 10:30 AM, with President Murmu taking the salute. Parade Commander Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar, General Officer Commanding, Delhi Area, will lead the proceedings, supported by Major General Sumit Mehta, Chief of Staff, HQ Delhi Area, as the Parade Second-in-Command.

The celebrations today reflect the nation’s continued progress and unwavering commitment to its democratic ideals, military strength, and unity.
