Businessman Robert Vadra, who is under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a Gurugram land deal case, appeared for a second round of questioning on Wednesday. Speaking out after the session, Vadra declared, “I’m too strong for all this,” dismissing the probe as a politically motivated attack.
Vadra took to social media to voice his frustration, posting a political cartoon and accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of conducting a “witch hunt” targeting him and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He reiterated his innocence and stated that the “truth will prevail.”
“I’m here for any kind of unjust pressure. I believe in the truth, and truth will prevail,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
He also claimed that the investigation had interfered with his philanthropic activities. Referring to a pause in his “Birthday Week Seva,” Vadra said his plans to distribute food and gifts to underprivileged communities were disrupted due to government pressure. “I will continue fulfilling the basic needs of people until I’m stopped from speaking against the injustice being done to minorities,” he stated.
Following several hours of questioning by ED officials, Vadra asserted that he had been fully cooperative, stating he had already submitted over 23,000 documents to the agency in 2019. “All the questions they are asking now, I’ve already answered. I have nothing to hide,” he said.
He dismissed the investigation as part of a broader political agenda, calling the case a “20-year-old matter” being revived for electoral gain. “This is clearly politically motivated. The ruling government continues to misuse federal agencies,” Vadra alleged.
Despite the intensifying probe, Vadra remained defiant: “They can question me as many times as they want. I will continue to answer. All is good.”
Sources confirmed that the ED had summoned him again for further questioning on April 16.
