Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari on Wednesday described the State Budget for 2025 as “historic” and assured that it would bring “several gifts” for the people of the state. She emphasized that all announcements made in the budget would be implemented.

“This will be a really good and historic Budget with several gifts for the people of Rajasthan. These won’t just be announcements; we will ensure full implementation of everything we announce. It will be an all-inclusive budget,” Diya Kumari said.

The 2025 budget will be the second one presented by the Bhajanlal Sharma-led state government in the Rajasthan Assembly today.

Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa praised the previous budget presented by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, calling it “inclusive of all sections and sectors” and aimed at the overall upliftment of the state.

Bairwa further noted that the budget to be presented today would also focus on the progress of Rajasthan and benefit all sections of society. “When CM Bhajanlal Sharma’s first budget was presented, it was inclusive of all sections and sectors, focusing on the upliftment of Rajasthan. Within six months, we can already see that 90% of it has been implemented. Today’s budget will continue this focus on the state’s upliftment and development, in line with the vision of PM Modi for a developed Rajasthan,” said Bairwa.

Meanwhile, on February 16, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma held a meeting at his residence to review the development work in Jaipur. During the meeting, he directed all District Collectors in the Jaipur division to submit reports on pending issues related to the announcements from the previous year’s 2024-25 Budget within three days.

CM Sharma emphasized that the District Collectors would be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Budget’s announcements, and instructed them to resolve outstanding issues through on-site inspections. He also directed that all necessary approvals be issued by the end of February after conducting technical examinations of pending cases.

In the meeting, the District Collectors raised various issues such as drinking water, electricity, roads, health, education, tourism, and transport facilities for the upcoming 2025-26 Budget. CM Sharma asked the officials to inspect these issues on the ground and prioritize the works based on the parameters and utility of the projects.
