In his 119th episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his best wishes to students preparing for their board exams, urging them to approach the exams with a positive mindset and without stress.

Addressing the nation, PM Modi said, “These are the times of board exams, and I send my best wishes to all my young friends and exam warriors. Approach your papers with a positive spirit and without stress.”

He also reflected on his annual initiative, Pariksha Pe Charcha, which aims to help students cope with exam pressure. “Every year, we discuss various aspects of exams with our exam warriors during Pariksha Pe Charcha. I am glad that this initiative is becoming institutionalized with new experts joining. This year, we introduced a new format for Pariksha Pe Charcha, featuring eight episodes covering topics from exam preparation to health, mental well-being, and nutrition. We also had previous toppers sharing their experiences,” he added.

The Prime Minister reiterated his message for students: “Be happy and stress-free.”

In addition to his message for students, PM Modi also spoke about the importance of wildlife conservation in India, highlighting the country’s rich ecosystem and its deep connection to culture and history. “Wild animals are deeply embedded in our culture and traditions. Many animals are considered sacred, such as the tiger, which is worshipped in various regions, including in Central India, Maharashtra, and the Sundarbans,” he said.

He expressed his gratitude to tribal communities for their role in wildlife protection, mentioning how their efforts have contributed to the conservation of species like tigers and Asiatic lions. “In Karnataka’s BRT Tiger Reserve, the tiger population has been steadily increasing, thanks to the Soliga Tribes who worship tigers. This has led to minimal man-animal conflict. Similarly, in Gujarat, local communities have played a key role in protecting Asiatic lions in Gir,” PM Modi noted.

He acknowledged that efforts like these have resulted in significant growth in the populations of tigers, leopards, Asiatic lions, rhinos, and swamp deer across India.

Furthermore, PM Modi highlighted the story of Anuradha Rao, also known as “The Deer Woman,” for her tireless work in animal welfare in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. “Anuradha Rao Ji has dedicated herself to protecting deer and peacocks for over three decades. Locals affectionately call her ‘The Deer Woman,'” the Prime Minister shared.

Concluding his address, PM Modi encouraged the nation to support and acknowledge the efforts of those working towards wildlife protection, emphasizing India’s commitment to preserving its incredible biodiversity.
