Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate two significant events today— the Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and the 38th National Games in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
According to an official statement, PM Modi will begin his day by inaugurating the Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave at approximately 11 AM at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. Following this, he will head to Dehradun, where he will inaugurate the 38th National Games around 6 PM.
The Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave, a key Global Investment Summit hosted by the Odisha government, aims to establish the state as a central hub for industrial growth and a prime investment destination in India. The two-day event, from January 28 to 29, will feature industry leaders, investors, and policymakers discussing the state’s investment potential. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Make in Odisha Exhibition, which showcases the state’s accomplishments in creating a dynamic industrial ecosystem.
The conclave will include CEOs and Leaders’ Roundtables, sectoral sessions, B2B meetings, and policy discussions, fostering targeted engagement with investors worldwide.
In the evening, PM Modi will inaugurate the 38th National Games in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, celebrating the state’s Silver Jubilee year. The games, scheduled from January 28 to February 14, will be hosted in 11 cities across eight districts. Over 17 days, competitions will be held in 35 sports disciplines, with medals awarded for 33 of them, and two sports—Yoga and Mallakhamb—featured as exhibition events for the first time. The games will see participation from over 10,000 athletes from 36 states and one union territory.
With sustainability as a key focus, the theme for this year’s National Games is “Green Games.” A Sports Forest park will be developed near the venue, with more than 10,000 saplings to be planted by athletes and guests. Additionally, the medals and certificates awarded to athletes will be made from eco-friendly, biodegradable materials.
