Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bhagalpur on February 24th at 11 AM to address a major public rally at the Airport Ground, ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will accompany the Prime Minister at the event, which is expected to attract around 5 lakh farmers.
The rally will focus on the distribution of the Kisan Samman Nidhi and will include a public meeting. During the event, Prime Minister Modi will release the 19th instalment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi, underscoring the government’s commitment to the welfare, prosperity, and well-being of farmers.
BJP leader Sahnawaj Hussain, speaking to ANI, shared that the rally will see the participation of senior leaders from the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) as well as people from 13 districts, including Bhagalpur, Munger, Begusarai, and others.
Hussain expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects for the upcoming Bihar elections, citing the strong NDA alliance and the successful governance model under the leadership of PM Modi and Nitish Kumar. “Just like Delhi, we will also win the Bihar elections,” he stated.
The NDA in Bihar comprises BJP, JD(U), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustan Awam Morcha, and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav dismissed any connection between the Delhi election results and the political landscape in Bihar. “There will be no impact. How can the BJP form the government here while we are present? The people have now recognized the BJP,” Yadav asserted.
The Bihar Legislative Assembly elections are set to take place later this year, in October or November, for all 243 constituencies. The last assembly elections in Bihar were held in October-November 2020.
