Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to policy consistency and continuous reforms to foster inclusive growth and strengthen India’s economic sectors. Speaking at the Post Budget Webinar 2025 on Tuesday, PM Modi highlighted the transformative role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the nation’s development and promised to nurture and empower this vital sector.

Announcing a key initiative to simplify regulatory frameworks, PM Modi revealed the formation of a committee to review non-financial sector regulations. “We aim to make them modern, flexible, and people-friendly, and the industry will play a crucial role in this exercise,” he said.

The Prime Minister emphasized India’s decade-long commitment to stable governance and continuous reforms. “For over 10 years, India has demonstrated financial discipline, transparency, and inclusive growth. This consistency in policy has instilled a new sense of confidence within our industry,” he stated, assuring stakeholders in manufacturing and exports that this policy stability would remain unwavering.

Highlighting India’s rising global economic influence, PM Modi noted, “Every country in the world wants to strengthen its economic partnership with India. Our manufacturing sector must seize this opportunity and maximize the benefits of these global partnerships.”

He also underscored the government’s push toward self-reliance through the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, which helped India minimize the economic impact of COVID-19 and emerge as one of the fastest-growing economies globally.

Addressing the success of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, PM Modi lauded its widespread impact across 14 sectors. “The PLI scheme has led to the approval of more than 750 units, attracting over Rs 1.5 lakh crore in investment, generating production worth over Rs 13 lakh crore, and driving exports exceeding Rs 5 lakh crore. This shows that when given opportunities, our entrepreneurs can excel in every sector,” he stated.

Concluding his address, PM Modi positioned India as a key driver of global growth, urging industries to seize emerging opportunities and contribute to the country’s economic expansion. “Today, the world sees India as a growth centre — it’s time for our industries to step forward and lead this momentum,” he said.
