In the 120th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the ‘MY-Bharat’ Calendar, a unique initiative aimed at helping children make their summer vacations more productive and educational.

PM Modi highlighted that the ‘MY-Bharat’ Calendar offers various engaging activities for children, including:

  • Study Tours to understand the functioning of Jan Aushadhi Kendras.
  • Experiencing life in border villages through the Vibrant Village Campaign.
  • Participating in cultural and sports events in different regions.
  • Joining awareness campaigns like the padyatra on Ambedkar Jayanti to promote constitutional values.

Urging children and parents to share their holiday experiences, PM Modi introduced the hashtag #HolidayMemories, promising to feature select stories in future ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episodes.

With the onset of summer, PM Modi emphasized the importance of water conservation, highlighting initiatives like:

  • ‘Catch the Rain’ Campaign, which encourages people to harvest and conserve rainwater.
  • Jal Sanchay, Jan Bhagidari, a movement to involve communities in water conservation.
  • Massive water conservation efforts, which have helped India save over 11 billion cubic meters of water in the past few years through new ponds, tanks, and recharge structures.

PM Modi shared an inspiring example from Gadag district, where villagers revived a dried-up lake, transforming it from barren land into a water source for their community and animals.

Encouraging compassion for animals, PM Modi urged people to place water pots outside their homes for birds during the scorching summer months, calling it a pious deed that brings blessings and joy.

Through the ‘MY-Bharat’ Calendar and water conservation efforts, PM Modi aims to inspire children and communities to make meaningful contributions to society while ensuring a sustainable future.
