PM Modi Congratulates CBSE Class 10 & 12 Students, Offers Encouragement to Those Disappointed with Results

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the students who successfully cleared their CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations following the announcement of results today.

In his message, PM Modi lauded the students’ hard work, discipline, and determination and also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of parents, teachers, and others who supported the students through their journey. He shared his appreciation through a post on his official ‘X’ handle, expressing pride in the achievements of the young scholars.

“Dear #ExamWarriors, heartiest congratulations to everyone who has cleared the CBSE Class XII and X examinations! This is the outcome of your determination, discipline, and hard work. Today is also a day to acknowledge the role played by parents, teachers, and all others who have contributed to this feat. Wishing Exam Warriors great success in all the opportunities that lie ahead!” PM Modi’s post read.

The Prime Minister also extended a word of encouragement to those students who may have felt disheartened by their results. He emphasized that one exam cannot define a person’s potential. “To those who feel slightly dejected at their scores, I want to tell them: one exam can never define you. Your journey is much bigger and your strengths go far beyond the mark sheet. Stay confident, stay curious because great things await,” PM Modi wrote.

The CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations were held between February 15 and April 4, with more than 22 lakh students appearing for the exams. The Class 10 exam saw a passing percentage of 93.66%, while 88.39% of Class 12 students passed.

This year, the passing percentage among girls was notably higher, with 91% of girls passing the Class 12 exams, outstripping boys by 5.94%, while 95% of girls passed the Class 10 exams, 2.37% higher than the boys.

The regional breakdown of the results saw Thiruvananthapuram achieve the highest passing percentage at 99.70%, while Assam’s Guwahati region reported the lowest at 84.14%. In Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada led the regional statistics with a 99.60% pass rate, while Prayagraj had the lowest pass percentage in the region, with around 80% of students passing the exam.

This year’s exams were marked by a substantial number of students overcoming challenges and proving their mettle, with more than 16 lakh students sitting for the Class 12 exams, of whom over 14 lakh passed.
