Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tribute to the legendary leader Balasaheb Thackeray on his birth anniversary, highlighting his contributions to public welfare and Maharashtra’s development. In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “I pay homage to Balasaheb Thackeray Ji on his birth anniversary. He is widely respected and remembered for his unwavering commitment to public welfare and the development of Maharashtra. Balasaheb was uncompromising in his core beliefs and always worked towards enhancing the pride of Indian culture.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid his respects to Balasaheb Thackeray, acknowledging his lifelong dedication to the ideals of Sanatan culture and nationalism. “The revered Balasaheb Thackeray, who was dedicated to the ideals of Sanatan culture and nationalism, always placed the welfare of the nation above all else. Even in the face of adversity, he never compromised on his principles, and his ideological firmness will continue to inspire us forever,” Shah said in a post on X.
He added, “On the birth anniversary of the strong nationalist Balasaheb Thackeray, we bow to him with deep respect.” Shah emphasized that Thackeray’s dedication to the nation and his work to promote love for the country will always remain a guiding force.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena Chief Eknath Shinde also paid tribute to Balasaheb Thackeray. “Humble tributes to the venerable Hindu Hriday Samrat, Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray, on his birth anniversary, in his sacred memory,” Shinde posted on X.
Aditya Thackeray, the son of the late Shiv Sena leader, also shared his tribute on X, writing, “Hindu Hriday Samrat, there will never be another like him. On his birth anniversary, a humble tribute!”
Balasaheb Thackeray, the founder of the Shiv Sena party, was a vocal advocate for the issues of Maratha people and Hindus, and his influence on Maharashtra’s political and cultural landscape remains profound.
