High-resolution satellite imagery released by Maxar Technologies and accessed by Reuters has confirmed the extensive destruction inflicted on key terror hubs in Bahawalpur and Muridke during India’s precision strikes under Operation Sindoor. The pre-dawn missile strikes, executed on Wednesday, were launched in direct response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which left 26 people—mostly tourists—dead in Jammu and Kashmir.

Before-and-after images of Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur, the operational headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), reveal massive structural damage. The dome of the Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah—a central structure in the compound—has been punctured, with debris scattered across the premises and several buildings reduced to rubble.

Confirming the strike, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Indian Army stated during a press briefing, “Markaz Subhan Allah, 100 km inside Pakistan, was the headquarters of JeM and a key training and indoctrination facility. It has been destroyed.” The site was directly linked to the 2019 Pulwama terror attack and housed senior JeM leadership, including Maulana Masood Azhar and Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar.

In Muridke, satellite images show the obliteration of Markaz Taiba, Lashkar-e-Taiba’s (LeT) most critical training centre. The sprawling facility—once used to arm, train, and radicalize terror recruits—has suffered widespread damage. Pre-strike visuals depict multiple intact buildings, while post-strike images confirm collapsed structures and charred remains.

Colonel Qureshi highlighted the importance of the Muridke complex, stating it lies just 18–25 km inside Pakistan and served as the training ground for terrorists involved in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, including Ajmal Kasab and David Headley. “Osama Bin Laden personally funded the construction of a mosque and guest house within the Muridke complex with ₹10 million,” she added.

Both Markaz Subhan Allah and Markaz Taiba played central roles in hosting hundreds of recruits annually, many of whom were trained in arms, physical combat, and extremist ideology.

These satellite visuals offer undeniable proof of the Indian Armed Forces’ precise targeting during Operation Sindoor, which aimed to dismantle Pakistan’s deep-rooted terror infrastructure while minimizing civilian harm.
