With the Amarnath Yatra 2025 scheduled to begin on July 3, offline registration for devotees who missed online enrollment kicked off in Jammu on Monday at special centres set up by the administration. A large number of pilgrims gathered to secure their registration ahead of the annual pilgrimage.

The Yatra will proceed via both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes, with the first batch of pilgrims scheduled to depart from the Jammu base camp on July 2.

Speaking at the registration centre, devotees expressed high enthusiasm and unwavering faith despite recent security concerns.

“There is no fear due to the Pahalgam incident. The arrangements are good, and the administration is fully supporting us,” one devotee said.

Another pilgrim added, “Terrorists may try to scare us, but we are not affected. I urge everyone to come to Jammu & Kashmir and show that we are united and unshaken.”

To ensure a safe and secure pilgrimage, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has implemented a multi-layered security plan along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44). Enhanced surveillance, K-9 units, and intensified patrolling—particularly in sensitive zones like Udhampur—are all part of the heightened measures.

In a proactive move, the Indian Army, CRPF, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and JKSDRF recently conducted a mock landslide drill at Samroli, Toldi Nallah on NH-44. The exercise simulated emergency scenarios involving stranded vehicles and injured pilgrims, successfully testing inter-agency coordination and response efficiency.

With arrangements in full swing and a visible surge in pilgrim turnout, authorities remain committed to facilitating a safe, smooth, and spiritually fulfilling Amarnath Yatra for all devotees.
