Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Tuesday declared that no political force from Delhi could succeed in the state as long as the DMK-led alliance remains united, in a veiled swipe at the BJP’s growing ambitions in Tamil Nadu.

Speaking at the launch of the ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ (Stalin With You) initiative in Chidambaram, Stalin asserted, “As long as we (the DMK alliance) stand united, no Delhi force can succeed here in Tamil Nadu.”

The Chief Minister unveiled a major governance outreach under which 43 services from 13 departments will be delivered in urban areas and 46 services from 15 departments in rural regions. These include door-to-door petition drives, women’s welfare enrollments, and health camps.

“Before the election, I promised to fulfil people’s petitions in 100 days—and we did. The trust shown by the people encouraged us to extend the initiative further,” Stalin said, highlighting the DMK government’s performance.

He added that 10,000 camps will be conducted across the state and reiterated that women left out of the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme will now be enrolled.

Stalin also inaugurated a memorial in honour of Dalit leader L Elaya Perumal, the late Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president. “We take pride in constructing this memorial in Chidambaram, the constituency of Thol Thirumavalavan,” Stalin said.

He also announced the setting up of a 150-acre industrial park in Kodunkanpalayam, expected to generate significant employment, especially for women in the region.

Highlighting DMK’s commitment to social equity, Stalin revealed that 29 archakars (priests) from the Scheduled Castes have been deployed in temples, crediting the DMK for empowering SC/ST communities with new opportunities and schemes.

Reacting to the launch, AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran dismissed Stalin’s outreach, claiming the people are disillusioned with the DMK. He expressed confidence in the NDA alliance’s victory in the 2026 Assembly polls, adding that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is working hard to dislodge the DMK.

“He (Stalin) knows he is not with the people… They are aware of it and will vote against the DMK in 2026. They will lose over 200 seats,” Dhinakaran claimed.

The political battlelines appear to be sharpening in Tamil Nadu as both the ruling DMK and the BJP-led alliance gear up for a fierce contest in the coming state elections.
