On the second day of Chaitra Navratri, devotees gathered at the Jhandewalan Temple in New Delhi for the morning Aarti, offering prayers to Goddess Durga in her form as Mata Brahmacharini. The nine-day festival, which celebrates the different manifestations of Goddess Durga, is observed with great devotion across India.

Navratri, meaning “nine nights” in Sanskrit, is a significant Hindu festival dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine avatars, collectively known as Navdurga. Of the four Navratris observed throughout the year, Chaitra Navratri and Shardiya Navratri are the most widely celebrated, marking seasonal transitions. Chaitra Navratri, also known as Ram Navratri, concludes with Ram Navami, the birthday of Lord Ram.

As part of the celebrations, Akashvani’s Aradhana YouTube Channel has launched a special programming series from March 30 to April 6, featuring devotional content dedicated to Navratri. According to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the channel will air spiritual renditions from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with a dedicated segment, Shakti Aradhana, broadcasting daily from 8:30 AM to 8:40 AM.

A special highlight of the celebrations includes Navratri Bhajans performed by legendary artists such as Anup Jalota, Narinder Chanchal, Jagjit Singh, Hari Om Sharan, Mahendra Kapoor, and Anuradha Paudwal. These performances will be aired daily from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Additionally, a unique series, Devi Maa Ke Anek Swaroop, narrating inspiring stories of Navratri, will be broadcast from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM, along with features on various Shakti Peeths across India.

The grand culmination of the festival will take place on April 6, with a live broadcast of Ram Janmotsav from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya. This special event, airing from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM, will bring the divine celebrations to audiences nationwide.

Navratri continues to be a time of deep devotion, prayer, and cultural significance, uniting devotees in reverence for the divine feminine energy.
