Mumbai Police arrested a man from the Chembur area on Tuesday after a threat call was received regarding an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aircraft ahead of his official trip abroad. The call was made to the Mumbai Police control room on February 11, warning that terrorists may target PM Modi’s aircraft as he was preparing for his international visit.

Upon receiving the serious threat, the police immediately alerted other agencies and launched an investigation. “The individual who made the threat call to the Mumbai Police control room has been apprehended in the Chembur area. He is reportedly mentally ill,” the police confirmed in their statement.

On the same day, Prime Minister Modi co-chaired the AI Action Summit in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron. The summit, which lasted for a week, concluded with a High-Level Segment attended by global leaders and policymakers. PM Modi was warmly welcomed by the Indian diaspora in Marseille upon his arrival.

During his visit, PM Modi and President Macron are set to visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), a major international collaboration focused on nuclear fusion research. Additionally, the Prime Minister plans to visit the Mazargues War Cemetery in Marseille to pay tribute to Indian soldiers who lost their lives in the World Wars.

Following his trip to France, PM Modi is scheduled to travel to the US for a meeting with President Donald Trump, marking the first meeting between the two leaders since Trump assumed office for his second term.
