Lalu Yadav Mocks PM Modi’s Bihar Visit, Calls It a “Speech of Lies” Ahead of ₹7,200 Cr Project Launch

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his visit to Bihar, alleging that the PM was coming to the state merely to “tell lies.”

Sharing a poster of Modi on social media platform X, Lalu wrote: Prime Minister Modi is coming to Bihar today to tell lies. Would you like to listen to lies?

The Prime Minister is set to visit Motihari today to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a wide array of development projects worth ₹7,200 crore, spanning railways, roads, IT infrastructure, and fisheries. PM Modi will also address a public gathering in the region.

In a post ahead of his visit, PM Modi stated: “Development works worth ₹7,200 crore will be dedicated to the nation or their foundation stones will be laid. These works cover Software Technology Parks, four new Amrit Bharat trains, road projects and more.”

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the projects are spread across several sectors:

Lalu Yadav’s sharp remarks come amid growing political tensions in the state, as Bihar prepares for upcoming electoral battles where both the BJP and RJD are expected to clash over development claims and governance track records.
