Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accompanied by his wife Sunita Kejriwal, visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, on Sunday to offer prayers. He was joined by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, marking the completion of three years of the AAP government under Mann’s leadership.
Kejriwal’s visit to Amritsar follows a 10-day Vipassana meditation session in Hoshiarpur. On this significant day, Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh also took to ‘X’ to celebrate the government’s achievements, highlighting reforms such as improved schools, upgraded hospitals, and corruption-free governance under the “Arvind Kejriwal model.”
Bhagwant Mann assumed office as Punjab’s 17th Chief Minister on March 16, 2022, after the AAP secured a resounding victory in the state elections, winning 92 out of 117 seats. The party has since built on its success, further securing major victories in the municipal elections in Patiala and Jalandhar.
While AAP continues to progress in Punjab, Delhi’s recent Assembly elections saw BJP’s Parvesh Verma defeating Kejriwal in the New Delhi seat, securing over 4,000 votes. In the same elections, BJP clinched 48 seats, marking a historic return to power in the national capital after 27 years.
