Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal has leveled serious accusations against the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Delhi Police, alleging that their actions are supporting hooliganism against AAP and protecting the BJP’s wrongdoings. This comes after Delhi Police filed a case against Delhi Chief Minister and AAP candidate Atishi for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

Kejriwal expressed his frustration on social media, claiming that both the ECI and Delhi Police are conspiring to disrupt the electoral process and favor the BJP. He accused them of focusing on engaging in hooliganism, shielding BJP’s wrongdoings, and distributing liquor and money.

In a post on X, Kejriwal wrote, “In response to complaints about rising hooliganism, the Election Commission has filed a case against the Delhi Chief Minister. So now, the official stance of the Delhi Police and ECI is that their job is to engage in hooliganism against AAP, protect BJP’s wrongdoings, and distribute liquor, money, and goods.”

He continued, “If anyone tries to stop them from carrying out this ‘work,’ a case will be filed for obstructing the ‘work’ of the police and the Election Commission.”

Atishi also reacted to the situation, pointing out the lack of action against BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri, whose family members were allegedly involved in violating the MCC. She questioned the Election Commission’s motives, asking how far they would go to undermine the electoral process.

“The Election Commission is amazing! Ramesh Bidhuri’s family is openly violating the code of conduct, yet no action is being taken. I file a complaint and call the police and Election Commission, and they file a case against me! Rajiv Kumar, how much further will you go to ruin the electoral process?” Atishi wrote on X.

On Tuesday, the Delhi Police’s DCP South East reported that Atishi, along with 50-70 people and 10 vehicles, was found violating the MCC. The incident occurred at Fateh Singh Marg in Kalkaji. The police instructed them to vacate the area, and a case was filed under sections of the RP Act for MCC violation.

Additionally, the DCP South East shared another post on X detailing an incident where AAP members Ashmit and Sagar Mehta allegedly obstructed and assaulted a Head Constable while he was performing his duties at Baba Fateh Singh Marg. An FIR has been registered for obstructing public duty and assaulting the officer. Further investigations are ongoing.
