As part of India’s global campaign to expose state-sponsored terrorism and promote its stance of zero tolerance, an all-party parliamentary delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda has embarked on a visit to key countries in West Asia. The delegation aims to counter Pakistan’s propaganda and share documented evidence of its involvement in cross-border terrorism.
Speaking to the media ahead of the visit, Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu said, “We are going there to present India’s side. We will present the facts we have against Pakistan’s terrorist actions — how it is attacking innocent Indian civilians and how India has taken precise and measured actions against terror headquarters in Pakistan.”
Sandhu emphasized that one of the primary goals of the mission is to counter misinformation campaigns initiated by Pakistan on international platforms. He reiterated India’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and spreading awareness about the threat of terrorism emanating from across its borders.
Delegation leader Baijayant Panda highlighted the bipartisan nature of the group and its unified message. “Today, our group is embarking on this trip to West Asia. We have senior members and broad representation across parties. The biggest message is the unity that India has shown to the world. We are determined to keep the global focus on terrorism, particularly the state-sponsored kind that India continues to endure,” he said.
According to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, the delegation will visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria. Other members of the delegation include BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, and Rekha Sharma; AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi; Ghulam Nabi Azad; and former diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi also underlined the purpose of the visit, stating, “Our neighbouring country, Pakistan, is running terrorist camps and supporting them. These terrorists infiltrate India and carry out attacks. We will speak about these facts to the nations we are visiting.”
The all-party team’s objective is to project India’s united stance against terrorism in all its forms and to rally international support against countries that harbor or support extremist groups. The delegation also aims to build stronger diplomatic ties and reinforce India’s image as a responsible global power advocating peace, security, and cooperation.
