A massive surge of devotees gathered at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj on Wednesday to take part in the auspicious Magh Purnima ritual, marking a significant day during the ongoing Maha Kumbh. Official figures reveal that over 48.83 million devotees have already bathed in the sacred waters so far.
In addition to the Triveni Sangam, devotees also took a holy dip in the Saryu river in Ayodhya, with many proceeding to visit the Shree Ram Temple after their ritual bath.
Monika, a devotee, expressed her satisfaction with the arrangements made for the occasion. “We’ve come here for the snan on Magh Purnima. The government has made excellent arrangements. We are having a wonderful experience,” she shared with ANI.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath closely monitored the Magh Purnima rituals at the Sangam from his office. On social media, he extended his warm greetings to the people of the state.
In his post on X, he wrote: “Hearty congratulations to all the devotees and residents of the state on the holy bathing festival of Magh Purnima! My warm greetings to all revered saints, religious leaders, Kalpvasis, and devotees who have come for the holy bath at the sacred Triveni in Maha Kumbh-2025, Prayagraj today. May everyone’s life be filled with happiness, prosperity, and good fortune through the grace of Lord Shri Hari. May Mother Ganga, Mother Yamuna, and Mother Saraswati fulfill everyone’s wishes.
