In his first public address following the successful Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday delivered a powerful message to Pakistan and the global community, vowing that India will neither bow down nor break in the face of terrorism. Speaking at a rally in Bikaner, Rajasthan, PM Modi evoked his 2019 Balakot promise, reaffirming, “Saugandh mujhe iss Desh ki mitti ki, main desh nahi mitne dunga, main desh nahi jhukne dunga.”

Drawing a symbolic parallel, PM Modi pointed out that just as his first rally after the Balakot airstrikes in 2019 was held on Rajasthan’s border, so too is his first rally post-Operation Sindoor. “It is the penance of this Veerbhoomi (land of the brave) that this coincidence happens once again,” he said, linking the soil of Rajasthan to India’s resilience.

The Prime Minister praised the Indian Armed Forces for their swift action in destroying nine major terrorist hideouts in just 22 minutes, calling it a testament to India’s military readiness and resolve. “With your blessings and the valour of our army, we have lived up to our pledge. Our forces were given a free hand, and they created such a Chakravyuh that Pakistan was forced to bow,” Modi declared.

Referring to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, in which terrorists asked victims’ religions before attacking, PM Modi said, “Those bullets were fired in Pahalgam, but they pierced the hearts of 140 crore Indians. The entire country resolved to eliminate these terrorists and avenge the attack in a way they never imagined.”

Referencing the symbolism behind the operation’s name, Modi said, “Those who came to erase Sindoor, we demolished them. The world saw what happens when Sindoor turns into gunpowder.” He highlighted the emotional and cultural significance of the attack on Indian women and how it galvanized the nation’s will to retaliate.

Apart from security, the PM also spotlighted the government’s commitment to modernising India’s infrastructure, stating that investment in infrastructure has increased sixfold in the past decade. “A Mahayagya is underway to build a modern Bharat. In the last 11 years, roads, airports, and railway stations have seen remarkable transformation,” he said, adding that he had sought blessings from Karni Mata for the success of the Viksit Bharat mission.

The speech in Bikaner was more than a political address—it was a rallying cry. Through emotionally charged language and references to past promises, PM Modi projected national strength, unity, and a zero-tolerance approach to terrorism, while reinforcing his long-term vision for a developed India.

As India positions itself as a decisive global power, Operation Sindoor and its political aftermath serve as both a military statement and a diplomatic message—India will strike back, and the world is watching.
