Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has issued an advisory assuring passengers that operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport continue to remain normal despite regional airspace disruptions and increased security measures.

In a statement released on Sunday, DIAL said, “Delhi Airport operations continue to remain normal. However, due to evolving airspace conditions and enhanced security measures as directed by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, some flight schedules may be impacted, and security processing times could be longer.”

Passengers have been urged to stay updated with the latest information from their respective airlines and to comply with hand baggage and check-in luggage guidelines. The advisory also recommends arriving early at the airport to accommodate any delays at security checkpoints and emphasizes cooperation with airline and security personnel.

The statement further cautioned against circulating unverified information, saying, “We urge all passengers to rely solely on official sources for accurate information and avoid sharing unverified content.”

The advisory comes in the wake of a series of Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) issued by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and other aviation authorities, announcing the temporary suspension of civil flight operations at 32 airports in Northern and Western India. The closures, effective from May 9 to May 14, 2025 (up to 0529 IST on May 15), have been attributed to operational reasons.

The list of affected airports includes key locations such as Amritsar, Srinagar, Chandigarh, Jammu, Jodhpur, Leh, and Bhuj, among others.

While these closures are expected to impact regional air traffic, Delhi Airport has clarified that it remains operational, though some connecting flights may experience changes.
