In a shocking development in the murder case of Congress worker Himani Narwal, police sources revealed that the accused, identified as Sachin, had bite marks and scratches on his hands — allegedly inflicted by Himani in self-defense.

According to police sources, the accused confessed that Himani had bitten his hand while resisting the attack. It was also discovered that Sachin had taken away Himani’s gold chain and rings before disposing of her body. A slip related to some jewelry was found in his possession, and police are verifying whether he took a loan by using Himani’s jewelry as collateral.

On Monday, the police arrested Sachin in connection with the case. Following the arrest, Himani’s family demanded the strictest punishment for the accused.

“One accused has been arrested, and today we will cremate her. There are a lot of rumors in the media — I request everyone not to spread misinformation. We want the death penalty for the accused,” said Himani’s brother, Jatin.

Himani’s uncle, Ravinder, insisted that they would not proceed with the cremation until the police officially revealed the accused’s identity.

Himani Narwal’s body was discovered stuffed in a suitcase near a highway in Rohtak on March 1. In a dramatic turn, her mother alleged that her daughter’s rising stature in the Congress party might have created enemies, hinting at political rivalry as a possible motive.

“The election and the party took my daughter’s life. She made enemies because of her success. The culprits could be from the party or among her friends,” her mother claimed.

The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to gather evidence and question the accused.
