Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday paid tribute to the sanitation and health workers of Prayagraj for their crucial role in the smooth and successful organization of Maha Kumbh 2025. In a heartfelt gesture, the CM distributed certificates under the Swachh Kumbh Kosh and Ayushman Yojana and later joined the workers for lunch, accompanied by Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya.

Earlier in the day, CM Yogi and his cabinet participated in a cleanliness drive at Arail Ghat, underscoring the importance of maintaining the sanctity and cleanliness of the holy site.

Expressing gratitude to the people of Prayagraj, the CM acknowledged the collective effort that went into managing an event of such an unprecedented scale. “I thank the people of Prayagraj—those who, for the last two months, treated this event as their own. With a city population of 20-25 lakh, handling a gathering of 5-8 crore at one time was an extraordinary feat,” he said.

Highlighting the historic scale of the event, CM Yogi noted the massive participation of 66.30 crore devotees without a single incident of major crime. “This is a gathering like no other in the world. Despite the sheer size, there was no incident of kidnapping, loot, or any such crime. The opposition couldn’t find a single case even with binoculars or a microscope. They tried to spread misinformation, but the people’s faith and unity proved stronger,” he said.

The CM also addressed the unfortunate stampede incident that took place during the event, offering condolences to the families of the victims. “We deeply sympathize with the families affected by the tragedy. Sadly, the opposition spread falsehoods by sharing unrelated videos from Kathmandu, trying to malign Prayagraj. But the devotees responded with even greater numbers, reaffirming their faith and ensuring that the flag of Sanatan remains high,” he stated.

The day concluded with CM Yogi, his deputies, and cabinet members performing a pooja at the sacred Arail Ghat-Sangam, marking the culmination of Maha Kumbh 2025 — an event celebrated for its unprecedented scale, spiritual significance, and impeccable organization.
