Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has accused the Congress and its allies in the INDIA bloc of attempting to influence the 2024 Lok Sabha elections using foreign funds and propaganda. In an interview with ANI, he claimed that these actions amount to “treason” and alleged that external forces played a role in shaping the electoral narrative against the BJP.

CM Yogi stated that foreign funds were funneled through NGOs, social media platforms, and digital media to spread misinformation, particularly the claim that the BJP would change the Constitution if Prime Minister Narendra Modi secured another term.

“Congress and opposition parties did not just spread propaganda, but foreign money was also involved. George Soros had already announced it… Many facts will come to light. They used various platforms to falsely claim that BJP would rewrite the Constitution,” he asserted.

The UP CM directly accused the Congress and INDIA bloc of colluding with foreign powers to manipulate the elections. “This action falls under the category of treason. You are taking money from a foreign power and influencing the country’s elections,” he added.

Mocking the Congress over its recent electoral setbacks in Haryana, Maharashtra, and Delhi, CM Yogi stated that the public does not tolerate “lies” for long and is now punishing the opposition.

“People have realized that Congress spread false propaganda using foreign money, and now they are being taught a lesson in elections, whether in Haryana, Maharashtra, or Delhi,” he said.

He also highlighted BJP’s victory in the recent Uttar Pradesh bypolls, where the party won eight out of ten seats, including former Samajwadi Party strongholds like Milkipur, Katahari, and Kundarki.

Addressing speculation about differences between the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), CM Yogi clarified that the RSS does not engage in political campaigning but serves as a guiding force for social awareness.

“RSS is like a guardian for the nation and does not participate in political campaigns. It only works on public awareness regarding social issues,” he stated.

Taking a dig at Congress, CM Yogi criticized the party for failing to fulfill its electoral promises in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh.

“They promised financial aid to women, saying money would be deposited into their accounts instantly. But where is it? These promises have not been fulfilled in Karnataka or Himachal Pradesh,” he said.

CM Yogi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for upholding the Indian Constitution and honoring Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s legacy. He pointed out that it was PM Modi who initiated the celebration of Samvidhan Diwas on November 26 in 2015 to mark the adoption of the Constitution.

“PM Modi has given immense respect to the Constitution in the new Parliament. The development of five significant sites related to Babasaheb Ambedkar as ‘Panchatirth’ was made possible because of his vision,” he concluded.
