As the countdown begins for the highly anticipated Delhi Assembly election results, key candidates from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Congress turned to their religious side, visiting temples and offering prayers.

Delhi Minister and AAP candidate from Greater Kailash, Saurabh Bharadwaj, visited the Kalkaji temple ahead of the vote count. He expressed confidence in his party’s victory, stating, “Whatever happens now is in the hands of the mother goddess.” Bharadwaj confidently predicted that AAP would secure a comfortable majority to form the next government. “Every attempt was made to remove AAP from power, but the public’s blessings are with us. I believe the people will make Arvind Kejriwal the CM for the fourth time. We are receiving information from various areas that AAP will get a comfortable majority and form the government with at least 40-45 seats,” he said.

His rival, BJP candidate Shikha Rai, also visited the Kalkaji temple, seeking blessings from Maa Kalka. She too expressed confidence in her victory, stating, “I am confident about my victory.”

BJP leader and candidate from Malviya Nagar, Satish Upadhyay, offered prayers at the Hanuman Temple in Green Park. “As India is becoming a developed nation, the ‘Lotus’ will bloom in Delhi too… There will be no hat-trick for AAP. The exit polls show the people’s mood,” he said, hinting at the BJP’s anticipated victory.

BJP candidate from Moti Nagar, Harish Khurana, confidently predicted that the BJP would win more than 50 seats, marking a return to power in Delhi after 27 years. “We are receiving overwhelming responses from people across Delhi. The BJP is set to win more than 50 seats. The people were facing issues, but instead of addressing them, Arvind Kejriwal and his team were caught up in petty politics. Their attempts have failed, and today, the BJP will return to power in Delhi after 27 years,” Khurana stated.

Similarly, BJP candidate from Madipur, Kailash Gangwal, expressed confidence in his party’s victory, stating, “The people have made up their minds. They voted in large numbers for a change, and the BJP government will be formed this time.”

Former AAP leader and Congress candidate from Kalkaji, Alka Lamba, also visited the Kalkaji temple before the results. Lamba reflected on the campaign, saying, “We fought the elections based on the issues of the people. Now, whatever the people of Delhi decide, we will accept that.”

Congress MLA candidate from Kasturba Nagar, Abhishek Dutt, voiced his optimism, saying, “The truth and our hard work will win. I am confident that the people will give me another chance to serve them.”

AAP MLA candidate from Patel Nagar, Pravesh Ratan, was equally hopeful, saying, “We are expecting a strong result. AAP will form the government with a huge majority in Delhi.”

With the election results just around the corner, authorities have ramped up security at the counting centers across Delhi.

As the AAP seeks a third consecutive term, the BJP is determined to reclaim power after more than two decades. The Congress, which governed Delhi for 15 years, has faced setbacks in the last two assembly elections, failing to secure any seats. The AAP has dominated the past two elections, but the BJP is looking to break the trend and reassert its dominance in Delhi.
