The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel stationed at the Indo-Pak border celebrated the festival of Holi with immense enthusiasm and joy on Thursday. The celebration brought a vibrant atmosphere to the border outposts as soldiers and officers joined together to mark the occasion with colors, sweets, and festivities.
Amid chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” senior officers applied gulal to the soldiers and distributed sweets, creating a sense of unity and warmth. In a heartwarming display of camaraderie, the soldiers lifted their officers onto their shoulders while cheering patriotic slogans.
The festive spirit was further amplified by lively dance performances, with both male and female soldiers covered in colorful gulal moving to the beats of DJ music. The celebration reflected the close bond shared among the BSF personnel, who consider each other family while being away from their homes.
BSF DIG Yogendra Singh Rathore expressed his pride and gratitude, saying, “BSF is the first line of defense. Though we are far from our families, these soldiers are our family. We are dancing, singing, and celebrating Holi together. Special arrangements have been made to ensure our personnel, stationed hundreds of kilometers away from their homes, don’t feel alone. Colors, sweets, and festive meals have been provided by the headquarters to make this celebration memorable.”
The soldiers echoed the sentiment of unity and dedication. One jawan shared, “Holi is a festival of beautiful colors. We stay vigilant at the borders so that our fellow citizens can celebrate peacefully. Our brothers in uniform form our small family here, and we celebrate this festival together. BSF is a mini India, where soldiers from various religions and backgrounds come together.”
Women soldiers also expressed their joy and sense of pride. “We thoroughly enjoyed the festival and celebrated Holi like a family. In fact, this celebration at the border felt even more special than the one at home. We danced, played with colors, and relished the sweets provided by the headquarters,” one woman jawan said.
BSF Deputy Commandant Pratap Singh highlighted the sacrifices made by the force, stating, “When the entire nation sleeps peacefully, we stay awake to protect the borders. As the country celebrates Holi, we are here celebrating with our personnel. We are their family, their brothers, and their support system.”
The celebration on the Indo-Pak border not only brought joy but also showcased the spirit of unity, sacrifice, and duty that defines the Border Security Force. Through colors and togetherness, the BSF personnel reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the nation while embracing the festive spirit of Holi.
