BJP National President JP Nadda will unveil the party’s manifesto, Sankalp Patra Part – I, for the 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections on Friday at 2 PM at the BJP’s state office. The manifesto will outline the party’s promises and priorities for the upcoming polls.

On Thursday, the BJP released its fourth list of nine candidates, bringing the total announced to 68 out of 70 assembly seats. The remaining two seats have been allocated to its National Democratic Alliance (NDA) allies—Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)] and Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) [LJP(RV)].

The JD(U) will contest from the Burari seat, fielding Shailendra Kumar, while the LJP(RV) is expected to announce its candidate for the Deoli seat soon. Both allies hold significant influence in Bihar, which will also go to polls this year, making their partnership critical for the BJP-NDA alliance.

The BJP has fielded several prominent figures for key constituencies:

The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 consecutive years but suffered setbacks in the last two elections, has announced 68 candidates. Sandeep Dikshit, son of former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit, will contest from the New Delhi seat. Meanwhile, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which won a landslide 62 out of 70 seats in 2020, has declared its candidates for all constituencies.

The 2025 Delhi Assembly elections are shaping up to be a three-way battle between the BJP, AAP, and Congress. The BJP aims to improve its 2020 performance, where it secured eight seats, while Congress seeks to regain its lost ground.

Key dates for the Delhi Assembly elections are as follows:

The election promises a heated contest as all major parties prepare to showcase their vision for the future of Delhi.
