The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha is set to launch its “Saugat-e-Modi” campaign, aiming to distribute special kits to 32 lakh poor Muslim families across India ahead of Eid. The initiative, spearheaded under the guidance of BJP National President JP Nadda, will commence from Nizamuddin in Delhi on Tuesday.

The “Saugat-e-Modi” initiative seeks to ensure that economically weaker Muslim families can celebrate Eid without financial hardship. As part of the campaign, 32,000 BJP Minority Morcha workers will collaborate with 32,000 mosques across the country to distribute these kits.

Jamal Siddiqui, National President of the BJP Minority Morcha, stated that the campaign will not be limited to Eid but will also extend to other religious occasions such as Good Friday, Easter, Nauruz, and the Indian New Year. Additionally, Eid Milan celebrations will be organized at the district level as part of BJP’s outreach efforts.

According to National Media In-Charge of the BJP Minority Morcha, Yasir Zilani, the “Saugat-e-Modi” campaign is aimed at promoting welfare schemes among the Muslim community while also strengthening political support for the BJP and NDA.

The campaign is strategically significant, as it aligns with the holy month of Ramzan and Eid celebrations. BJP’s Minority Morcha has planned to connect with 32 lakh Muslim families and 3,000 mosques nationwide as part of this outreach initiative.

Each “Saugat-e-Modi” kit will contain:

  • Food items such as vermicelli, dates, dry fruits, and sugar
  • Clothing – Women’s kits will include fabric for suits, while men’s kits will contain kurta-pyjamas
  • Other essential items for Eid celebrations

According to sources, the cost of each kit will range between ₹500 to ₹600.

This large-scale initiative is seen as part of BJP’s broader strategy to expand its reach within the Muslim community ahead of upcoming elections, reinforcing the party’s commitment to inclusive welfare and festival outreach programs.
